Invitations & Guests
- Can I bring a plus-one?
→ We’ve planned the celebration with a specific headcount in mind. If you’re unsure whether a plus- one is included, feel free to reach out, we’re happy to clarify! - Can I bring my kids?
→ The resort is family-friendly! Just let us know if you’re bringing little ones so we can coordinate. - Is there an RSVP deadline?
→ Yes! Please RSVP by November 1, 2025 so we can finalize rooms and headcounts.
Travel & Accommodation
- What airport should I fly into?
→ Fly into Busuanga Airport (USU). From there, it’s about 45–60 minutes to the resort. -
What travel documents do I need to enter the Philippines?
→ Here’s what you’ll need:- For Foreign Nationals:
→ Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your entry date
→ Return or onward ticket
→ Visa if required (check immigration.gov.ph for your country)
→ eTravel Registration (mandatory) — register within 72 hours before arrival at etravel.gov.ph - For Filipino Citizens:
→ Valid Philippine passport
→ eTravel Registration (etravel.gov.ph)
→ Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs): Bring any OEC, work permit, or employment proof if returning from work abroad.
→ Other Reminders:
- As of now, no COVID-19 vaccination proof is required.
- If bringing in large amounts of cash or goods, declare them on arrival.
- For Foreign Nationals:
- Do I need to book my hotel?
→ Yes. We’ve reserved a block of rooms at Discovery Coron at special rates. Check the RSVP section for booking instructions. - How do I get to the resort?
→ Discovery Coron provides roundtrip airport transfers. The resort will reach out to you for your flight details after booking to arrange logistics. - Can I stay longer?
→ Of course! You can extend your stay before or after the wedding. Just let the resort know your preferred dates. Preferential rates apply if you’d like to make a mini-vacation out of it! - Can I book a room at another resort instead?
→ We strongly recommend staying at Discovery Coron, since all wedding events will be held there. The last boat transfer to and from the resort is at 5:00 PM due to coast guard safety rules, meaning you won’t be able to leave the island after the evening celebrations. Staying at Discovery Coron ensures you won’t miss a moment of the fun (and it makes the experience much more convenient!).
Dress Code & Packing Tips
- Is there a dress code?
→ Yes! Each event has a suggested dress code to match the vibe:- Fiesta Fun: Bright & Festive
- Welcome Dinner: All-White Casual Island Chic
- Wedding Day: Modern Rustic Formal (colors: sage green, terracotta, ivory, sand, khaki)
- What should I pack?
→ Island essentials! Think:- Swimwear
- Sunscreen
- Breathable, light clothes
- Comfy sandals/shoes
- Sunglasses & hat
- Reusable water bottle
- Light jacket or shawl for breezy nights
- Optional: Bug spray, small fan, personal meds, power bank
- What shoes should I wear?
→ Sand-friendly options are best. For the wedding: espadrilles, sandals, block heels, or dressy flats. Avoid stilettos!
Wedding Details
- When should I arrive?
→ We recommend arriving by April 30 (family and wedding entourage) or May 1 (all guests) to join the full celebration from the very beginning! - Will there be photos or videos?
→ Yes! We have professional photographers and videographers covering everything. Please keep phones away during the ceremony to stay present. - What’s the wedding vibe?
→ Tropical, relaxed, and romantic with a big side of fun. Come ready to eat, dance, and celebrate love!
The Resort & What To Do
- Is there Wi-Fi and mobile signal?
→ Yes, but expect it to be a bit slower than the city. It’s a great excuse to unplug! - Are there activities at the resort?
→ Plenty! For free, guests can enjoy:- Kayaking, snorkeling, hiking (Eagle’s Point), yoga zone, fitness center
- Pool, beach volleyball, darts, billiards, board games
- Junior Hotelier Program for kids
→ For a fee, you can book:
- Island Hopping, Mangrove Kayaking, Sunset Cruise

- Diving and certification programs

- Are there dining options onsite?
→ Yes! The resort has three:- Firefish Restaurant – All-day dining with international dishes
- Sinag Restaurant – Filipino breakfast & buffet-style lunch
- Dugong Bar – Sunset cocktails and Happy Hour fun

Money & Tipping
- What currency is used in Coron?
→ Philippine Peso (PHP) is widely used. You can exchange USD, VND, or other major currencies at the airport or in town. Please note that there are no ATMs on the island. - Can I use credit cards?
→ Yes, major cards are accepted at the resort but cash is still useful for local shops and tipping. - Should I bring cash?
→ Yes. While credit cards are accepted at the resort, it’s handy to have cash (PHP) for tips, tours, and any off-resort purchases. - How much should I tip?
→ Tipping isn’t mandatory, but always appreciated! You can tip in pesos or USD. Suggested amount is ~10% or small bills for great service.
Weather, Health & Safety
- What’s the weather like?
→ May is warm and sunny with light tropical breezes. Expect daytime temps around 28–32°C (82–90°F) and cooler evenings. Light rain is possible, so bring a cover-up or light jacket just in case. - Is it safe to drink the water?
→ Stick to bottled or filtered water, which is available throughout the resort. - What if I get sick or need meds?
→ There’s a clinic for basic medical assistance available at the resort and the nearest hospital is in town (~1 hour away). For special health concerns, please bring necessary medications and inform us in advance. - What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?
→ Let us know as soon as possible and we’ll coordinate with the resort to accommodate your needs. - Do I need travel insurance?
→ It’s not required but highly recommended for peace of mind especially for flights, medical needs, and lost baggage.

- Do you have a gift registry?
→ Your presence is the best gift! But if you’d like to bless us, you’re welcome to contribute to our honeymoon fund. Bank details for USD / VND / PHP are in the Registry section.
